Montauk Lighthouse Triathlon to be Held on July 18 🏊🚴🏃

The 2021 Montauk Lighthouse Triathlon will see racers through historic and beautiful portions of Montauk, from Gin Beach to Gosman’s Dock, and finally Montauk Lighthouse.

The race promises participants “one of the best finish lines ever,” as well as a rewarding challenge.

The triathlon will be broken down into three segments. First, a half-mile swim along Gin Beach and back, then a bike course, full of challenging climbs and “serious fun!” Finally, the running portion of the triathlon will take racers across the scenic finish line at the Montauk Lighthouse.

Registration fees are necessary to participate in the race and are in four different categories: Individual ($155), Relay ($195), AquaBike ($150), and BikeRun ($150). It is noted that participants must be USA Triathlon members to participate, with one-day licenses available at $15.

Registration for the over 17-mile triathlon, including the biking, swimming, and running portions, will close on July 15 at noon. Registration may be available at packet pick-up, with a $10 surcharge. The transition area will open at 5 a.m., with a pre-race briefing at 6 a.m.
