The four-acre land was once home to a manufacturing complex, Dzus Fastener Company. Now, after two years, the developers have been given the green light for construction.

Several tenants have already begun to eye the future property, which is said to begin construction within a few months. The restaurant chain Piazzetta Italian Kitchen & Bar has already signed with the future retail site for its fifth location. Joining them will be the popular long island breakfast chain Brownstones Coffee.

This new retail property, according to the developer’s initial plans as reported by Long Island Business News will also include a QuickChek convenience store as well as a gas station.

The future retail site has no set opening date, but with construction beginning soon and tenants already signing on, expect news on a possible opening within the next year. The site will be located on 425 Union Boulevard.
