The typical ceremony, which would have had families in the audience of Molloy’s Madison Theatre, will instead have family watching from their respective cars. Only students and socially distanced staff will be allowed on the stage. One by one, students will cross the stage and receive their diplomas. After, they are to return to their family’s car.

Graduates from 2020 will also be allowed to attend in order to have the ceremony they missed out on due to the pandemic. The ceremony was created with safety and governmental guidelines in mind. Social distancing and mask-wearing will be a necessity in order to attend.

Molloy College as well as other schools are eager for in-person ceremonies to begin. With this drive-in method, the hope is to give students a sense of normalcy as well as lasting memories. Visit Molloy College’s website for details on commencement.
